Our Story
Who We Are
Partnership Together Be’er Sheva – B’nei Shimon – Montreal is a joint initiative of the Jewish Agency and the Jewish Federation in Montreal, which sponsors and enables its activities in a web of partnerships between Israeli communities and the Jewish communities abroad.
Montreal – Be’er Sheva – B’nei Shimon is one of the largest and leading partnerships of a joint experience between an Israeli community and its corresponding Jewish community overseas.
Our Mission
Is to open a window and to create a path to connect the citizens of the world, who are Canadian Montrealers in their essence and Israelis from Be’er Sheva and B’nei Shimon.
We unite all of them through the spirit of culture, religion, common fate, and above all – a personal, human connection, which means being a connected Jewish person, even if it’s from two separate ends of this world.
We Believe
This connection between the southern Israeli and the Montreal Jew is a guide through which any Jewish person, wherever they may be, is welcome and able to explore a boundless and timeless experience. Such an experience can widen and increase the common Jewish element for all of us.
These are moments of grace stemming from the power of people discovering other people, exposing layers, and sharing experiences, thanks to the magnetizing energy within a meeting. There’s just nothing else like it.
We Want To
Establish a desired cultural connection for people separated by a vast ocean but surrounded by a sea of love.
Only by opening a window to the hearts of every Jew in Montreal and the southern parts of Israel can they experience and benefit from powerful treasures cherished by these cultures. Through the events, the delegations, the meetings, the leadership, and the excellence – we will strengthen the connection of all the Jewish people.

The Global Partnerships Network of the Jewish Agency
The Partnership Unit of the Jewish Agency, is a platform established in 1994 that aims to connect Jewish communities worldwide with cities or regional councils in Israel, particularly emphasizing peripheral areas.
The Global Network of Partnerships Together strengthens Jewish communities in and outside Israel.
These connections help create a renewed and continuous involvement between the members of these communities.
This unit allows its members to develop lasting relationships through diverse social projects and by working together. The partnership unit contains at least 45 autonomous partnerships based on two main tracks:
People to People
, which includes programs involving teens, young adults, and adults from Israel and Jewish communities from the diaspora. The participants in the program connect through person-to-person encounters, or as we say in Hebrew, “mifgash.”
Community Development
includes diverse community development programs, including youth and women empowerment, community leadership development, assistance to new immigrants, and more.
