Accessibility Statement

The Jewish Agency, which includes the Be’er Sheva—Bnei Shimon—Montreal Partnership, is a law-abiding organization with social responsibility that provides a precise address to those seeking answers on the issue of accessibility and promotes accessibility processes on its site.

Accessible customer service

  • The employees of the Be’er Sheva—Bnei Shimon—Montreal Partnership acknowledge the importance of providing accessible services to people with disabilities and how these inquiries about accessible services are being handled.
  • Accessibility arrangements in buildings.
  • Accessible voice response so that the information is recorded in a clear language and without background music.

The Be’er Sheva – Bnei Shimon – Montreal Partnership is committed to creating a positive service experience in all activities and works to implement this by the provisions of the law on equal rights for persons with disabilities, 1998 and its regulations. The organization makes accessibility adjustments on its website with the assistance of accessibility consultants and other professional parties to allow a full, quick, and efficient service throughout the website to all, including people with disabilities.

Making Accessibility Adaptations to the Website

The accessibility adaptations were made to allow people with disabilities and older people to use the website with the same efficiency and enjoyment as other users.

The website met the requirements of the Equal Rights for the Handicapped Regulations (adaptations of service accessibility) 2013 and was adjusted according to the recommendations of the Israeli Standard (T. I. 5568).

An adjustment was made to the accessibility requirements of an organization W3C to level 2 (AA), and the system was built according to the W3C standard for CSS and HTML.

The website is adapted for display in different browsers (Chrome, Mozilla, Edge) and is used on cell phones. The website was tested using the latest NVDA screen reader.

All actions on the website can be performed using a keyboard as follows:

Pressing Tab selects the next link, and pressing Enter activates the link. Pressing Shift-Tab selects the previous link.

Adaptations for blind users – the website is adapted for those using screen reading software.

The website includes:

  • Headlines
  • Alternative text for images
  • Dividing the website into navigational areas and a central content area, and the possibility of shifting between them
  • Use of ARIA to improve the readability of the screen reader.
