Leadership Together
Leadership Together is a unique annual program for the Partnership Together Be’er Sheva – B’nei Shimon – Montreal, with no parallel groups in Israel or abroad. The program includes a memorable meeting with diverse people who bring different perspectives and encourages the participants to leave their comfort zone.
Leadership Together provides tools for developing training skills to realize the full potential of the participants while experiencing standing in front of an audience and building their self-confidence. We invite you to join the journey to form your identity with people who will enter your heart. Come and get to know communities from other places, delve deeper into the lives of Montreal Jews, and acquire essential teamwork skills.
At the end of the yearthe staff and participants will travel to work at the summer camp in Montreal: CBB, Camp B’nai Brith. During the training at the summer camps, our leaders apply the skills they acquired throughout the program while working with a supportive team and having a lot of fun in Montreal!
The mission in CBB
The mission period takes place at CBB, a summer camp located outside of Montreal, at which campers enjoy a unique experience that includes lodging in cabins, meeting youth from the Jewish community of Montreal, and additional joint activities.
The mission period aims to train the campers who are part of the SIT group (Staff in Training) and will soon become counselors at that camp.
During the summer, participants go through training and practice at the summer camp while making friends and learning about themselves and how to operate as part of a group. They combine their training as counselors with fun activities throughout the process.
In this year’s program, five events will take place:
- A community-themed Shabbaton – at the beginning of December
- Self-managed Shabbaton – end of January
- A trip over Passover that includes overnight stays in nature alongside group discussions and activities – right before Passover.
- Preparation day for the mission period – end of June
- Mission period for several weeks at a summer camp in Montreal – in the summer
